Kitty Ballet

The tutu is just a few little strips of tulle gathered up, sewn and then glue gunned to the image. (I did not have proper lighting when putting this together thus I used the wrong color tulle) I'm very disappointed I made such a mistake, however my grandaughter is just turning three so I'm sure she will be able to  overlook it. LOL!!
Designer paper is DCWV All Dressed Up paper stack. It incorporates a lot of sparkle in it which I know will be a big hit with her as well. I cut the balloons on my silhoutte making a front and back on each, I used acrylic strips cut from some packaging and taped thin satin ribbon to the ends before glueing the balloons together.  I seen the how to on you tube(Pop Up Balloon Card, You Tube) Sentiments from Stampin Up.

Little Miss

The Inspiration Challenge Room at Crafters Digital Art Center really was a challenge for me. These colors look wonderful together, but for the life of me I could not get them right.

I have been dying to use this gorgeous stamp from Sugar Nellie from Funky Kits. Image was colored using copic markers. The designer paper is DCWV  Garden Tea Party Stack. I used a Martha Stewart punch for edges to frame the image, tied on a satin ribbon bow as well as adding a gem flourish to glam it up a little.

With Love

I thought this time I would enter one of my own digital drawings and use it for the Crafters Digital Art Centers
 Easy as 1,2,3 Challenge.
1. flower
2. designer papers
3. pieces of bling(pearl sprigs)

Image was colored using copics. Black designer paper used is DCWV and red from K & Company. I used a couple of meadow leaf die cuts from Poppystamps underneath the black feathers.  The three pearl sprigs were bought from the dollar store in the Artificial  flower section. I just cut off what I want and glue gun the ends so it doesn't unravel.  I also glue gunned the paper flower and finished it off with a tulle bow. I thought adding layers to the embellishments would add  a little interest to the card.

Nice way to start People

Crafters Digital Art Center is holding  my favorite kind of challenge"Anything Goes"  For this challenge I decided to do a card not only suitable for twins, but also one that  can be used for a group of people to give their best wishes. The front is a double slider but the card opens like a regular card as well, leaving plenty of room to write. The paper pieced pattern is from one of my favorite paper piecing site, MyScrapChick (Mama and baby elephant). These elephants can be used separate, alone or all together.

Snow Friend

I Know, I know, Christmas is over, but at Crafters Digital Art Center, The Seasonal Fun Challenge is to make a card showing what season you are in where you live. I live in Canada where it was snowing today and my grandchildren wanted to make snowmen.

Anyway that is only part of the reason I used this little digital stamp from Birdie Brown. I got it quite a while ago and fell in love with it right away but didn't have time to use it before today. This contest gave me the perfect excuse to use it.

I used MME Merry Designer paper.  The image was colored using copics. Very Simple card, the only embellishments added is the 4 I-rock gems and a touch of glossy accents on the glasses and buttons.

Angel

Once again Crafters Digital Art Center has started up the Progressive Freebie Challenge. The sponsor "Shelly's Images " has kindly donated this lovely digi and sentiment.
Image was colored using copics with wings painted using smooch top coat adding a subtle glitter . Designer paper from DCWV(Timeless Type Stack) I used spellbinder die for frame,  Gothic stained glass die from poppystamps and memory box wrought iron fence to embellish. Both the stained glass & fence were heat embossed with stampendous red tinsle embossing powder.

Tulle is one of my favorite ways to finish off my cards. It's so easy to work with, adds color and maintains its dimension without the bulk even after being stuffed into an envelope.

Have a great day!!

FOR YOU DEARIE

This is another wonderful Image  from Mo's Digital Pencil called Witches Trick.
To me she just looks like a sweet little old lady that loves to share her baking. Maybe a little excentric but loveable! Tee! Hee!
This image was colored using copics, The card shape was made with spellbinders die and finished off simply by adding a few pearl embellishments and tying on  a tulle bow.
